CAREER EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

ABOUT US

WE PROVIDE

The Career Employment Program currently works with over 100 local students ages 14 to 21. Each student is provided the opportunity to get valuable workplace experience under the supervision of professionally-trained job coaches with all required state educational clearances.

Students receive a grade in work-based learning to earn credits towards their high school diplomas. Job coaches provide daily grades and constant feedback to BHA programs and local school districts.

The Career Employment Classroom Program prepares students to successfully enter the workforce. The curriculum includes job applications, banking skills, and valuable employee behaviors.

WE PREPARE

The Career Employment Program collaborates with over 60 local businesses to give students in our BHA programs and local school districts the opportunity to learn valuable workplace skills such as work ethic, teamwork, self-confidence, and responsibility.

Career Employment Program students can learn in the following work settings:

‣ Auto body/vehicle detailing
‣ Manufacturing
‣ Maintenance
‣ Clerical

WE SUPPORT

Our goal is to prepare students for a successful entry into the workforce. Many of our students have been hired by our local business partners. Not only do our students learn valuable work skills, but they also learn valuable life skills.
